Football Tactics Board Shortcuts
Board shortcuts help you work faster once the core board flow already makes sense.
Learn the shortcuts that save the most time
Learn one playback key, one tool key, and the help shortcut before trying to memorize the whole list.
- Playback and keyframe shortcuts save the most time once you are animating.
- Tool shortcuts are best learned alongside the specific tools you use most.
- Pressing ? on the board opens the shortcuts reference at any time.
Shortcut groups worth learning first
You do not need the full list on day one. Start with the categories that compound across every session of board work.
- Playback: Space for Play / Pause animation, Left Arrow for Previous frame, Right Arrow for Next frame
- Keyframes: K for Add keyframe at current frame, Ctrl/Cmd + C for Copy keyframe, Ctrl/Cmd + V for Paste keyframe
- Phases: P for Add new animation phase
- Visualization: T for Toggle player paths, G for Toggle ghost trails, Alt + O for Toggle onion skinning
Use shortcuts inside a repeatable workflow
Shortcuts matter most when they support a pattern: load a shape, annotate the key detail, animate the action, then present it cleanly.
- Pair tool shortcuts with the board features you use every week.
- Learn playback keys once you start animating more than one phase.
- Keep the full reference nearby until the motions become automatic.
